Art and Christian Faith
Page Three
Why do people create Christian art? For some, it is an expression of their own faith. The picture may say to the artist's audience, "This is what I believe about..." the topic or image being portrayed. Naturally, no one picture can capture every thought, feeling, belief or emotion. So there is always room for the artist, or another artist, to create images anew. In this way, artists are taking to heart the words of Genesis, "God made man in His own image," and man, like His Creator, creates something unique and "good" too. Since the Bible teaches us that 'all good things come from above,' we should thank the Lord for those who share their artistic talents with others.
